It’s pretty awesome that she’s sending text blasts from beyond the grave. WHO KILLED ALI? That’s one secret they’ll never tell.
it’s like gossip girl meets veronica mars!! if only kristen bell could guest as a snarky teacher or something… also, how is NO ONE tech-savvy enough to ever trace these texts?!?
oh my god, i saw this show on the armed forces network in japan and it is the best thing ever. they were running a mini-marathon and i stayed up all night watching.
what did ali do to make jenna blind?! (that’s what’s wrong with her, right?) i have a lot of questions!!! who could A be?? i think jenna’s somehow involved. or maybe mona. or hanna’s mom?! she would do anything to keep her daughter popular! hell it could be anyone!!!
i meant to talk to you about this when i got back but i can see i’m weeks behind the times. and of course they aren’t savvy enough to trace the text/emails, they’re 16 year old girls with secrets to hide!!
also why hasn’t mandy weighed in on this? i know she’s been watching.

def think all the girls were behind the jenna thing, but maybe ali is the one responsible for actually blinding her? i read the first few chapters of book 1 (via a link off the show’s site to harcourt teens), and it sounds like maybe jenna’s [creepy looking!] brother knows it was Ali, but they have some crazy dirt on him, too…
love love love emily. i dont know if i like maya as much, actually. maybe im just thrown by the fact that she’s played by bianca lawson, who played kendra on like season 1 of buffy. which was what, like 10 years ago? girl is totally NOT of hs age. though if joss whedon liked her, maybe i need to rethink it…
aria is my other fave. cant believe holly marie combs is playing her mom, though. holly cant be a smidge over 35! ooh and how pretty is teacher boy? he’s like a softer, tweed-vested tom welling. kind of like if dan humphrey were a) actually hot and b) not obnoxious as heck. the dude playing aria’s dad is a little blah, too. cant see the college coeds falling head over heels for him….
oh and did you recognize the cop? from popular???

of course i recognized the cop from popular!! i loved that show. i heard a rumor it was going to be out on dvd.
the dad is chad lowe, rob lowe’s brother…maybe she was hooking up with him to get to rob lowe, who is infinitely hotter (in 1983 at least which is the picture of him i have frozen in my mind).
she played kendra at least 10 years ago, and could barely pass for hs then! she’s like andrea zuckerman from 90210.
based on novels, like gg?! love it. send me the books once you obtain and read them.
my favorite character is hanna, of course, since she is the most crazy and liable to spiral out of control. eating problem? check. shoplifter? check. crazy crazy mom who sleeps with younger men? check. all she needs is some sort of drug/alcohol addiction.
i also love that aria is 17 and goes to bars to hang out alone in the afternoon. and that the show is set in rosewood…PA! and how old is holly marie combs. she is not old enough to play a mom, wasn’t she playing a 20-something in charmed???
